IRATA – training for work at height Level 1


Irata training was held on 18 June 2013 in Opole at the training center “Ascent”
Association IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) was founded in the late 80s has developed safety procedures associated with work at height and a system of training and assessment of rope access specialists. Also grants accreditation to work and to conduct training.

We distinguish are three levels qualifications employees of rope access:
Level 1: Rope access technician
Level 2: Rope access technician – Specialist
Level 3: Rope access technician – Supervisor

Basic requirements for all candidates for training IRATA


✔ The candidate should be 18 years.
✔ Applicants should be in good physical condition and not have medical conditions that would reduce the safety of their jobs. Should be in such good physical condition to cope with tasks that require proper coordination, strength and agility.
✔ The candidate can not have przewwskazań to works at height, such as:

  • heart disease / chest pain,
  • epilepsy, fainting,
  • imbalance,
  • diabetes,
  • alcohol dependence or addiction to drugs,
  • high blood pressure,
  • fear of heights, dizziness,
  • damage to feature the limbs,
  • mental disorders.

All prospective employees must have a medical examination for work at height, before starting this kind of work and should have regular periodic tests. In the absence of a medical examination, candidates must sign a declaration of good health.
